Class Two S.T.E.M. Ambassador's visit.
   Last Thursday Class Two had a highly successful visit from a marine biologist. The children greatly enjoyed the practical activities provided to help them learn about sea life around Wales. These included looking at sea creatures with magnifiers and through microscopes, sorting shells, and finding out about simple food chains. A great time was had by everyone all day long!

The Easter Story

Each week we will be:

• Looking at a story and will be doing some ‘book work’.
• Studying non-fiction information texts to help us learn more about each celebration.
• Doing lots of counting, patterns, prepositions, shape and size.
• Doing different craft activities which enhance the skills of the children. The craft activities will compliment the topic.
• Solving problems by becoming Mousekers.
• And lots of other activities!

If you have any books or resources that you would be happy to lend us to promote enthusiasm among the children in order to enhance their learning I would be most grateful if you could send them in.

Thank you class 3 for my warm welcome back to school. It's great to have such a happy hard working class.

Class 1 have enjoyed our topic on "Aliens" this half term and have done some great work. We have made models of spaceships, done some lovely art work, including displays and fantastic writing.

Alien pizza!

Nursery - Thursday 31st January 2013

We have been reading the story Q Pootle 5. It is about an alien who is on his way to a moon party. We noticed that there was no pizza at the party so we decided to make some to take along to the next moon party.
We used different ingredients to make an alien face - mushrooms for ears, pepperoni for eyes, ham for a nose etc. It was lots of fun!
The best part was eating the yummy pizzas at the moon party!

Year One and Two after school football club.
 The first session was well attended with all places being filled. The children had fun and enjoyed their lesson with enthusiasm. Next week please could all the children wear trainers for this session not football boots.

Please could the children return their book bags to school every Wednesday.
Our P.E. day is Friday please could the children come to school on that day wearing trainers and their blue school track suits.
